This Parang sword is late 19 C. from Java, Indonesia. The blade is finely forged from twisted steel rods and deeply etched to emphasize the pattern. The handle is beautifully carved horn with silver collar and the scabbard is wood with horn mouth and tip. Blade 18 ½ inches total 26 inches. Very good condition.
