The Genoui, is a rare variant of the classical Moroccan ‘Koumaya’ curved dagger with straight blade. The name literally means from Genoa, probably to indicate its ancient source. The straight 15 1/2 inches fullered blade is cut from an old sword and fitted with a massive horn handle. The scabbard is wood mounted with finely engraved and lightly painted brass mounts. Total length 22 inches. Very good condition.
