Up for sale this 19 C. fine Ottoman / Balkan (probably Albanian) Jambiya dagger. Blade is 13 ½ inches long forged from Sham (low contrast watered steel). Long handle cut entirely from a single piece of walrus ivory with extended pommel and cross guard corners, a shape attributed to Albania. Wood scabbard covered with finely engraved silver. Total length 21 inches (in scabbard). Very impressive item.
