A Flyssa, the traditional sword/Dagger of the Kabyles people of Morocco. These type of swords come with blades of various sizes from 8 up to 38 inches. This one is rather short and heavy dagger 9 inch long. It is single edge filed and inlaid with brass decoration. Both hilt and scabbard are made of chased silver. Very rare and unusual. Good condition. Small damage to the pommel. A 8unusual find, probably from the late 19 Century.
