This extremely interesting knife is of Turkish origin but with strong central Asian or Caucasian influence. The 12 inches fullered blade is stamped with a maker mark and etched with inscriptions in Arabic letters. The bone handles as well as the scabbard are fitted with finely nielloed fittings of very good workmanship, probably from the Caucasus or from Central Asia. Total length 17 inches. Very good condition. Minor blackened spots on the blade.
