This very fine Khanjar / Jambiya is Turkish, early 19 C. Very finely forged blade, Wootz (Damascus, watered) steel. With gold inlay on both sides, in styled calligraphy the word: YA ALI . Finely chiseled silver handle and scabbard mounts over tooled leather. Silver parts are proof marked. Blade 11m total 17 inches. Very good plus condition. The scabbard chape is a later professional restoration.
