A classical Scottish stocking knife, also known as Sgain Dubh with a short 4 inches tapering blade with a serrated back. Ebony hilt with chased silver fittings and an amber pommel (with an hair thin crack). Leather scabbard with silver locket. Very good condition. The amber pommel is not so usual in these class of knives and a colleague expert on Scottish blade suggested that it was mounted in India to replace the probably lost original stone.
