Fine Turkish Shamshir Sword with Assad Allah Blade - 11507
This fine Sword is Turkish, employing an 18 C (or earlier) Persian made blade, forged from very fine Wootz in the pattern known as Kirk Narduban or the ladder pattern. The blade is marked with the Assad Allah marking in gold inlay (true inlay), the famous sword maker that his name was credited to high quality blades only. The cross guard and grip strap are silver and the grips with bulbous pommel are rhino horn. Original scabbard with black leather cover with spiral stitching and long silver locket and chape. Blade 34 inches. Total length 41 inches. Very good condition. |
