We offer here for sale a Barongs sword with heavy leaf shaped blade, known to have superior cutting abilities. It is a good Moro Barong, from the late 19C. with a 15 inches blade. The hilt is carved from a beautiful grained wood in a very classical form. With a very long pommel projections and with a long brass collar. The scabbard is wood bound with Rattan bands. The scabbard is of a very unusual shape, and although it perfectly fits the blade, it is a bit longer and of the shape of an old Pira sword scabbard. (Probably in a secondary use). Total length (in scabbard 28 inches. Very good condition. Minor areas of pitting on the blade and few age cracks to the hilt.
