This dagger is French made, 1860-1870, Viollet le Luc style and period, in the style of an early Turkish court dagger. Very good steel blade of diamond cross section. Very fine and precise cast iron handle and scabbard with red stones set around the grip (two missing). Blade 12 ½ inches, total 19 inches. Very good condition. Very interesting dagger.
