This fine sword is an Arabian saber, also known as Saif. These Saif swords usually employs trade blades imported from Persia or from Europe, or locally made blades in such styles. This sword has a 32 inches long blade probably of Persian origin with gold inlaid maker mark . The cross guard is brass and the grips are silver with chased silver grip strap and silver wire binding. Wood scabbard covered with the original black leather mounted with finely chased mounts. Total length 38 inches. Very good condition.
