Very Fine Dah Sword with Ivory Handle - 11410

We are not sure as for the origin of this very fine Dah sword. The blade is quite early, probably mid 19 C. 21 inches long with 12 inches back edge. Finely fullered, engraved and inlaid with gold line. Ivory grip of unusual shape with a long chased silver collar and silver pommel cap. Wood scabbard with chased and pierced silver bands. Total length 28 inches. Very good condition. Very good age patina on the blade. Minor edge nick. The scabbard and handle are probably later, mid 20 C. or about. A very fine item. |
