Very Good Two Handed Burmese Dah Sword with Marked Blade - 11409

This long Dah sword is Burmese, late 19 – early 20 C. Very good blade with spatula shaped tip, 21 ½ inches long. An gold inlaid anchor shaped image is marked on the top of the blade. Two handed handle, bamboo covered with braided rattan rings and mounted with copper cross guard and pommel cover. Wood scabbard bound with braided rattan and white metal bands and a red cotton binding of a baldric carrying rope. Total length 33 inches. Very good condition. Blackened spots on the blade. Few edge nicks. |
