We offer for sale this very fine and beautiful 19 Century Persian straight sword also known as Revival sword, as it was reviving the use of old 15 C style Islamic straight swords. This beautiful blade is 37 inches long, 2 inches wide at the top, finely sectored fullered and with elaborately chiseled panels on its two faces in the typical Qajar style. The entire blade surfaces are finely etched in a pattern reminding wootz steel. The hilt and scabbard mounts are steel decorated with silver koftgary work. Original scabbard, covered with green velvet (later). Total length 43 inches. Very good condition.
