This stiletto / long knife is of Latin American origin, probably Brazil, although similar stiletto can be found also in the neighboring countries such as Argentina or Uruguay. The slender single edge blade is 7 ½ inches long with 3 ½ inches back edge, terminating in acute point. The blade heel is decorated with silver insert. The handle is silver. Silver scabbard with fine chased decoration. This is an authentic item, dated to the late 19 C. All parts original, no restored or replaced parts. Very good condition.
