Up for sale is this very large size spear head. Indian, 18 C. or about. Very finely forged blade 20 inches long 2 ½ inches wide,with a central fuller. The blade is forged from Crystalline wootz steel ( sometimes referred to as Indian Wootz). 11 inches socket with silver Koftgari decoration. Total length 31 inches. Very good condition. Some losses to the silver decoration on the socket. Similar large size spears were probably used by palace guards or similar elite units loyal to the ruler.
