Probably of Visayan origin from the Philippines, this very good sword has a heavy, beveled edge, 20 inches blade. Finely carved horn handle cross guard. Wood scabbard bound with tortoise shell bands. Total length 26 inches. Very good condition. Minor repairs on the scabbard. One tortoise shell band is slightly damaged and two or three bands are missing. Probably late 19 C authentic item.
