This is a very good matched pair of two Chinese heavy knives. These types of pairs are sometimes related to the Boxer wars in the turn of the 20 C. but they are not necessarily so, although the dating to the early 1900’s is correct. Heavy, 14 inches long single edge blades. Wood handles with steel cross guards. Original lacquered wood scabbard with brass mounts. Total length 20 inches. Very good condition. Minor nicks on the blades. A good interesting find.
