Up for sale is this very good Saif sword from Ethiopia, early 20 C. Haile Selassie period. The blade is European made, probably British, 31 1/2 inches long, finely etched with floral pattern and with the “lion of Judea” emblem of the emperor. Black Bakelite handle bound with twisted silver wire. Total length 36 inches. Very good condition. Minor chips on the handle. No scabbard. A very impressive sword.
