Fine Pair of Turkish Kubur Pistols - 11220


Kubur in Turkish refers to "Saddle Pistols", or "Horse Pistols". They will usually come in pairs and worn in a special holster or as a pair stuck in the robe sash. The identical pair offered here is early to mid 19 C, mounted with European made flintlock locks. The pistols are mounted with very fine silver butt covers and barrel tips, with heavy granulation work and filigree and niello decoration and mounted with coral stones. Barrels 13 ½ inches. Total 21 inches. Very good condition. Locks in good working order. A fine set of pistols.
