Very Good Syrian (Magdali) Jambiya Dagger - 11136

Classical Syrian Jambiya dagger, circa 1950, made in the Druze village of Magdal Shams (Tower of the sun) in the Golan Heights, the area of dispute between Israel and Syria. Curved short, 6 1/2 inches blade. The handle made from layers and mosaics pieces of horn, bone, mother of pearl and copper strips in intricate geometrical design. Brass scabbard with iron sheet back cover. Total length 11 inches. Very good condition. Very few inserts are missing on the handle. |
