A fine Kindjal dagger with a blade made and signed in Cyrillic letters by OSMAN, the famous Caucasian blade maker. 15 inches blade with off centered fullers. Grip made of a solid piece of walrus ivory and mounted with finely chiseled and nielloed silver mounts. Wood scabbard with leather cover (later) and fine silver mounts. Total length 20 inches. Very good condition. Very good age patina on the grip. Minor shallow pitted spots on the blade.
