Very Rare Kiem Vietnamese Straight Sword - 11121

This straight, double edge sword is Vietnamese, early 20 C. , also known as Kiem. Its narrow long well forged blade is 25 inches long nicely fullered and lightly engraved. The handle is composed of grip made of very rare fossil tooth (Mammoth ??) and mounted with big chased silver pommel and cross guard. Wood scabbard covered with tortoise shell and with beautifully chased silver mounts. Total length 36 inches. Very good condition. The handle parts a slightly loose. The tip of the scabbard is lightly damaged. |
