The BULLOVA is the traditional fighting axe of the Chota Nagpur aboriginal tribes of central India. The blade is made of hand forged and polished steel and it is 11 inches tip to tip. It is mounted on a dark wood shaft through its heavy socket, secured in place by brass wire bound on the haft just below the head. The base and the top of the wood haft are fitted with decorated bronze fittings. Very good condition, attractive price.
