Very Rare Kiem Vietnamese Straight Sword - 11068

This straight, double edge sword is Vietnamese, early 20 C. , also known as Kiem. Its narrow long well forged blade is 27 inches long nicely fullered. The handle is composed of grip covered with tortoise like material and mounted with big chased silver pommel and cross guard. Wood scabbard with mother of pearl inserts very delicately performed and with beautifully chased silver mounts. Total length 38 inches. Very good condition. The tip of the scabbard is lightly damaged. |
