Very Good Arab Saif Sword. - 11039
This Saif is a very rare version of Arab sword from the South Arabian Peninsula. A fine heavy sword, with a 32 inches long single edge blade, deadly sharp, with a 9 inches back edge. The hilt and cross guard are whole silver in a typical form reminding in a way the hilt of the Moroccan Nimcha sword. The scabbard is wood covered with velvet and mounted with chased silver belt hanging band and a long chape . Total length 36 inches. Very good condition. Minor forging flaw and blackened areas on the blade (but no pitting). Very minor dents on the silver. A fine piece. |
