Very Good Two Handed Dah Sword – Thailand - 10986
This Dah sword is most probably identified with the Shan people residing in the area bordering Burma (Myanmar) Laos China and northern Thailand. Late 19 C. Blade 22 inches with hardened edge decorated with engraved pattern. Wood handle bound with braided rattan rings and silver mounts with onion shaped pommel. Wood scabbard black lacquered and bound with silver bands. Total length 38 inches. Very good condition. Minor edge nicks. Good age patina on the silver. Few rattan rings on the handle are missing. |
