The Pulwar is the Afghan relative of the Indian Tulwar. The Pulwar hilt has a very distinct shape, with down curving quillons. The one offered here for sale is a very good heavy fighting sword, with well forged and nicely fullered steel blade, 31 inches long, with an 8 inches back edge. The steel handle is of classical shape with a rare ball shaped pommel. Total length 36 inches. Very good condition. Good age patina on the steel. Very good fighting sword. Very well balanced.
