A beautiful Jambiya Dagger from East Turkey / North Iraq used by the Kurdish people residing in this region. Late 19 C. The blade is 9 inches long (point to point) curved and double edge with a central rib. It is forged from high quality wootz (Watered, Damascus) steel. The hilt is “I” shaped cut from black hardwood and set with six silver filigree domes and a silver cap on the pommel. The scabbard is made of heavy silver in a typical Kurd style. Total length in scabbard is 18 inches. Very good condition. Minor dents on the silver.
