This Dah sword is most probably identified with the Shan people residing in the area bordering Burma (Myanmar) Laos China and northern Thailand. Mid 20 C. Blade 22 inches with hardened edge decorated with engraved pattern and with copper insert at the tip. Silver handle with silver filigree decoration and big onion shaped pommel. Wood scabbard with filigree silver bands on dyed metal foils. Total length 38 inches. Very good condition. Good age patina on the silver.
