This long knife in the general shape of a Yataghan sword is Turkish, late 18 – early 19 C., also known as Bichaq . 12 inches steel blade with hardened edge. Horn grips, most probably rhino horn, with silver covered grip strap and bolsters. Dyed ray skin scabbard with silver fittings. Total length 16 ½ inches. Very good condition.
