Very Good Moroccan NIMCHA Sword with Rhino Hilt and Marked Blade - 10719

A very good example of the “NIMCHA”, the famous Moroccan saber. It has a 32 inches, slightly curved single edge heavy blade with three fullers. The blade is stamped with several stamps, partly oriental and some European and with the famous eyelashes stamps, indicating a possible European origin. The grip is cut and shaped from a solid piece of rhino horn with clear fibrous structure, set with chased silver collar. The cross guard and the “D” guard are forged in one piece with the typical three prongs down curving quillons. Total length 38 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. A real fighting sword.
