From India, probably 18C or earlier, comes this heavy fighting Tulwar sword. The curved blade is 31 inches long. The steel handle is of classical form and of rather large dimensions with very wide pommel disk. It was very nicely and densely inlaid with gold decoration (true inlay). Original scabbard covered with leather and mounted with brass belt rings. Total length 36 inches. Very good condition. The handle is slightly corroded and there are some losses to the gold inlay. Small losses to the leather on the scabbard.
