This impressive pole arm is of Chinese origin, probably late 19 C. and of very impressive dimensions. 64 inches long with more than 30 inches heavy ½ inch thick blade, stamped with Chinese characters. The wooden haft is reinforced with heavy brass bands. Decorated leather scabbard . All in good condition, the leather scabbard is a bit worn and few seams are open. Minor cracks to the wood haft. Certainly a very unusual piece of great interest for the collector of Chinese blades.
