Up for sale is this beautiful fighting War hammer from the Zaghnal family, India, mid to late 18 C. The massive heavy curved blade is 71/2 inches long with a pronounced thickened tip to split armor and helmet and a button shaped hammer head on the opposite side. Total head size 10 inches. Wood haft 20 ½ inches long, covered with red / brown velvet and chased steel mounts. Very good condition. The velvet cover is a later replacement.
