This Ram-Dao is a sacrificial sword from Nepal. It is meant to behead the sacrificed animal in one sword blow, and this is exactly how the blade is designed: Heavy, 17 inches long. Heavy bolster inlaid with silver koftgari work. 6 inches handle with black lacquered turned wood grip and brass mounts. Very good condition. This is a mid size Ramdao with a re-curving blade tip which is the rarest of all forms of Ramdao swords.
