We offer here for sale a rare late 19 – early 20C. "backscratcher" Chinese mace. The mace is made in the shape of a backscratcher made of various material such as Ivory, bone, horn and others, but this one is made of steel. Its shape dimensions suggests that it was made for fighting purposes and intended to cause ugly wound. The hand shape fingers are hinged and has sharp blade tips. The handle is bound with fabric. Total length 26 inches, hand 6 inches. Good condition. One “finger” is missing.
