This battle axe head is Persian, Qajar period, second half of the 19 C. Very good steel, very well forged and nicely chiseled with classical Persian decoration. Steel haft (broken). Blade 7 ½ inches long, 6 inches wide. Good condition. Haft broken. The blade was plated with some kind of very hard and dark cover (Old plating).
