This unusual knife is of Hindu origin, probably Indonesia but may be Sri Lanka as well. The blade is 7 ½ inches long, single edged. The handle is wood, bound with lacquered fibers and the pommel is carved in the shape of Ganesh , the Hindu elephant god with traces of gold paint. Total length 13 inches. Very good condition. Blackened spots on the blade.
