This is a rare and very old, early 18 century Hindu from South India. The deeply re-curving blade is 5 ½ inches long. It is riveted to the brass hilt in the shape of a styled monster head holding a bird head which is the top end of the D guard. Total length 9 inches. No Scabbard. Good condition to its age. The blade was re-sharpened several times in its life time and not in a very professional manner. An unusual item of quality at a very low price.
