Very Good Jambiya Dagger from Iraq with Wootz Blade - 10354

A very good typical Jambiya dagger from Iraq, most probably from the South, Basra area. The deeply curving blade is 6 ½ inches long, with a shallow central rib, forged from very good wootz (Damascus, watered) steel, probably an earlier Persian blade. The hilt is carved from a solid piece of horn with a flared down curving pommel corners. The scabbard is wood covered with tooled leather . Total length 12 inches. Very good condition. |
