Up for sale is this big and heavy sword, Indian, late 19C. also known as Tegha and supposedly used for execution. The massive blade is 26 inches long, 3 ½ inches wide with 11 inches raised back edge. The blade is well chiseled with images of elephants, tigers, monkeys and other animals with gold koftgari decoration and etched in a pattern imitating watered steel. Big size handle inlaid with brass and copper floral design. Total length 32 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. Very impressive sword.
