This is a very good Chinese heavy short sword of the type sometimes related to the Boxer wars in the turn of the 20 C. Heavy blade, 16 inches long, 2 ½ inches wide. Brass hand guards with carved wood grips. Original leather scabbard. Total length 21 inches. Very good condition. A good interesting find.
