A typical fine dagger from Bosnia & Herzegovina, from the very short period of independence before the annexation to the Austro-Hungarian Empire at the end of the 19th C. The blade is straight, double edged, 6 ½ inches long decorated with gold and silver koftgari inlay decoration. The grip is ivory set with brass nails. Original leather covered scabbard with spiral stitched seam and silver tip (new). Total length 11 inches. Very good condition.
