This is a short Chinese straight sword Jian from the late 19 or early 20 C. The straight blade of flat diamond cross section is 16 ½ inches long. Ribbed wood grip, beautifully engraved brass fitting and brown-yellow material for the scabbard cover. Good condition. A crack on the one side of the grip and few area on the scabbard missing the original cover. Very Attractive Price.
