This straight, double edge sword is Vietnamese, mid to late 19C. , also known as Kiem. Its narrow long well forged blade is 26 inches long nicely fullered. The handle is composed of carved ivory grip with big chased silver pommel and cross guard. Wood scabbard with mother of pearl inserts very delicately performed and with beautifully chased silver mounts. Total length 37 inches. Very good plus condition.
