This Khyber sword is probably Indian, mid 19C. and of unusual shape: long and narrow blade 22 inches long, forged from good Indian wootz (Crystalline). The blade is composed of two steel ingots: Plain steel at the first 2 inches forge welded to the wootz blade. Steel bolsters. Grips cut from sectors of black horn and bone. Unusual heavy leather scabbard with steel tip. Very good condition. Minor forging flaws on the blade. Age cracks on the bone grips but holds very solid.
