We offer for sale this knife of the Bagobo tribe, Mindanao, Philippines usually known as women’s knife. The blade is up-curving 6 inches long, single edge at the convex side. The hilt is grained wood. The angle of the blade to the hilt allow to hold the knife only with the edge upside or in the direction of the holder. The scabbard is wood, covered with densely braided rattan strips covered with black lacquer, decorated with three brass bells. Total length 11 inches. This knife comes with a fibers belt richly decorated with colorful glass bids. Very good condition. The belt is not attached to the scabbard. A fine authentic piece.
