This is a 19 century Hindu dagger in the style of the 17th C. similar daggers from South India. The deeply re-curving blade is 8 ½ inches long, forged from crystalline steel (Indian Damascus Wootz), is riveted to the cast brass hilt in the shape of a styled monster with a D guard and down curving quillons also shaped as monster heads. Total length 12 inches. No Scabbard. Very good condition. A unusual item of quality at a very reasonable price.
