This is a very peculiar and unusual sword from south India, probably from the late 19 Century. The blade is single edged, 26 1/2 inches long. The hilt is a very interesting combination of steel on the cross guard and langet and brass in the form of a mythical monster on the grip Very unusual Good condition with minor pitted areas near the tip. No scabbard.
